Beverages
A&W to make waves with Ice Cream Sundae Soda
Dound’s like it should be fountain creation involving ice cream… But it’s a new soda combining, “the classic combo of creamy vanilla and rich fudge flavor,” in fizzy, sippable form.
The new bev won’t be available until later this year – August, actually. So I don’t know why they’re announcing it now… It will appear for a limited run in both regular and zero-sugar versions…

Little Caesar’s x Twix = Rice Crispies Twix Bars
It’s billed as a mash-up like you might build yourself when making RCT’s at home. Regular marsh-mallowy Treats with Twix pieces blended in. And it’s only in Canada, for now. You get four square bars per (C)$4.99 order. Which sounds a tad over-priced, when you consider Rice Crispies Treats are 90+ percent Rice Crispies, which are 9o+ percent air – and therefore should cost next to nothing as the primary ingredient… And you don’t get any signature Twix chocolate coating, either.
Dairy Queen brings back Red Velvet for V-Day

It’s available in a full range of Mini, Small, Medium, and Large sizes. You can also get a Red Velvet Blizzard Cupid Cake – a special heart-shaped, 6 in. / 15 cm soft-serve cake meant for two.

Collossal COSTCO moment in the offing?
COSTCO’s CEO is retiring. No big deal, right? Well, the new guy is Gary Millerchip, “former Kroger CFO known for raising prices to boost profits.” And that has folks wondering if his ascendance will mean the end of the iconic COSCTO Food Court $1.50 Hot Dog Deal.
Outgoing CEO Richard Galanti, had been the Deal’s foremost cheerleader since the legendary signature menu item since its inception in 1984. We’ll just have to wait and see…
And that’s the skinny…
… On what’s going to be making some of us wishing we got more exercise over the coming days and weeks. See you back here in 7 for the next Courier & Ives-inspired edition of Fast Food Week!
