Who’d have thought you could prep a whole Thanksgiving Dinner on a single sheet pan? But today’s recipe has all the essentials: A roasted turkey breast, luxe green beans with mushrooms, roasted sweet potatoes and classic stuffing!

The ultimate expression?

It is, perhaps, the ultimate expression of sheet pan cuisine’s versatility and virtuosity! And it is so much easier to make then the traditional Festive Turkey Feast… The savings in cleanup alone make it a great alternative – especially for the younger crowd, who want easy prep AND minimum kitchen aftermath.

…And some new twists, too

Recipe contributor Theodora Kaloudis spotlights many of the tips and hacks embodied in this other-wise straightforward preparation…

“Using a bone-in split turkey breast helps ensure juicy, flavorful meat with rich, golden skin, slather-ed with butter and seasoned with poultry seasoning. This nod to tradition is enhanced with a touch of smoky paprika and garlic to amp up the flavors.”

“For the stuffing, I went the classic route, with onions, celery, and soy sauce to boost the savory notes, and cranberries for a hint of sweetness. [This] stuffing offers the best of both worlds, with crispy edges and an irresistibly savory center soaked in turkey drippings.”

“The sweet potatoes strike a perfect balance, spiced with warm and aromatic Garam Masala – a perfect pairing with the sweet yet earthy tuber. A splash of orange juice adds a tart-sweet touch, while pecans provide a satisfying crunch. If Garam Masala isn’t your thing, a dash of pumpkin pie spice works beautifully.”

“The green beans, a nod to the iconic casserole, are streamlined for the sheet pan, tossed with mush-rooms, Parmesan, and thyme-infused butter, and finished with crispy fried onions for that quintes-sential touch.”

My take

This is exactly the Festive Feast solution I’ve been looking for since I stopped hosting extended family celebrations a few years back. It’s just Erin and me, now – and occasionally a close friend or two.

Actually… I’ve most recently been roasting a turkey breast rather than a whole bird, with a single drumstick for some dark meat contrast. But I can’t claim I was seeing the future!
