New Eggos Stuffed Pancake Bites: Perfect for ‘on the go’, “even
if you’re just going from the kitchen to the couch.”
Wendy’s new Spicy Jalapeño Popper
It’s a Bun-based sandwich, folks. And it features a spicy chicken fillet topped with jalapeno cream cheese, three slices of Applewood smoked bacon, warm cheddar cheese sauce, jalapeño slices, pepper jack cheese, on a ‘premium’ bun. If you’re looking for something without a bun on it, there’s also a Jalapeño Salad which incorporates many of the same ingredients.
Seafood & Crab, Fish Sammys back at SONIC
SONIC is bringing back two seasonal favourites for Lent: Seafood & Crab and Fish fillet. If you’re a fan, you’ll already know what in ’em. If not, you probably have a bias against Fast Food Fish Sammys, so please forget we interrupted your enjoyment, here. For a limited time at selected SONIC stores.
Buffalo Wild Wings offers Fish Sammy
Don’t as me why that sounds so weird as I type it onto the screen. I guess it’s because Wings and Fish are two of the most unlikely foods to be spoken of in the same breath. I’m picturing an order of ‘Fish Wings’: Just deep-fried Fins in a basket with Fries. Anyway… The new Beer Battered Fish Sammy is based on an Alaskan pollack fillet with lettuce and Tartar Sauce, and it’s available up til Lent, like virtually all the other seasonal Fish offerings.
Hormel débuts new Pretzel Bites with Cheese Sauce
Touted s a great addition for the snacks table at any small (COVID-19 bubble?) get-together, the Canned Chili Kings, SPAM Brand proprietors Hormel have rolled out a new Pretzel and Sauce tray. The little round Pretzel bites look particularly good (chewy in the middle and crispy on the outside?). They’re portioned to serve 4…
Get Ready for Eggos Stuffed Pancake Bites
They’re like the familiar rolled Pancakes you’re used to seeing on some resto Breakfast menus, but they’re filled like Desserts with Real Fruit and Pastry Creams like Chocolate. And those fillings are swathed in pancake all round – no potentially-messy open ends! They’re promo’ed as perfect for breakfast with the usual syrups or whatever you like on your pancakes, or ideal ‘idea; on the go, even if you’re just goimg from the Kitchen to the couch’.
Free Stuff days cancelled for 2021
Many Fast Food and specialty chains are cancelling their ‘Free Food’ days this year. Dairy Queen, who’s Free Cone Day is an annual favourite, says, in a statement: “As spring approaches, we all look forward to Free Cone Day, an event that attracts long lines to out restaurants. Given the state of COVID-19, We’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event with the safety and the safety of our crew members in mind.” Among other chains that have changed their celebration plans: IHOP and 7-Eleven.
On the other hand, Krispy Kreme offered a free Mars Doughnut this past week on February 18, the day the latest NASA Mars Rover touched down on the Red Planet. And other chains are going right ahead with their special event plans – especially those that can be rolled into promos for online or mobile apps and so on that don’t necessarily generate lineups.
