US Forces Families Furious Over Carrier Food Fail

It’s been a long deployment for US Navy ships and crews now ‘supervising’ the Strait of Hormuz. And food supplies are running low onboard. It’s gotten so bad that crew members’ families have started a protest against what some call ‘pathetic’ meals…

what advocacy groups are calling woefully inadequate meals.
Is it extreme rationing or just plain neglect?

It’s a disgrace, no matter what the cause. Photos sent home by US sailors deployed to the Middle East show they’re being given totally inadequate, unpalatable food. “The food is tasteless, and there’s not nearly enough, and they’re hungry all the time,” one starving sailor reported. And the food crisis apparently extends to other US ships in the region…

Up in arms

“We have the strongest military in the world. You shouldn’t be running out of food, and you shouldn’t not be able to get mail on the ship,” Dan, 63, whose daughter is stationed aboard the USS Tripoli told USA Today. Ominously, Dan asked that only his first name be used, fearing that his daughter would suffer retaliation if she could be identified.

“The one thing we had over our adversaries [was] we fed our people,” Dan, a former Marine, added.

Official smoke and mirrors

“This is what we’re feeding our brave men and women overseas as they fight Muslim terror in Iran,” MAGA Congressional Rep. Randy Fine posted on X. “I know everyone is trying, but our service mem-bers deserve so much better than this. I’m going to work with our military to get this fixed ASAP.”

Fine pledged to ‘fix’ the situation, but did not offer specifics.

Meanwhile…

US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, insisted thee was no food problem on US navy vessels. “My team confirmed the logistics stats for the Lincoln & Tripoli,” Hegseth said in a post on X. “Both have 30+ days of Class I supplies (food) on board. NavCent monitors this everyday, for every ship. Our sailors deserve — and receive — the best.”

Tellingly, Hegseth did not provide photos to support his claims.

My take

Well… Somebody has to be lying. And I tend to side with the sailors and their families against the Government. It’s impossible not to.

What’s even worse, families and support groups have been trying to send ‘Care’ packages to loved ones aboard the affected vessels, but the Postal Service has suspended deliveries to the ‘war zone’, saying it’s too dangerous.

The Trump regime already has a lot to answer for, in connection with its war against Iran. Some even say, crimes against humanity. Now, some might say it’s committing them against its own military service members!

Our hearts go out to the sailors and their families struggling through this crisis…
