Hijackers With ‘Exceptional Taste’ Heist Tonnes of Kit Kats

“A truck transporting 413,793 units of its new chocolate range has been stolen during transit in Europe,” the company said, in a statement.

“We’ve always encouraged people to have a break with KitKat,” a spokesperson told AFP, referring to the product’s famous catchphrase. “But it seems thieves have taken the message too literally.”

Law enforcement organizations across Europe are looking for the missing transport truck. If all else fails, the company says the stolen KitKat bars can be traced using unique batch codes printed on each bar’s label. But it had not publicly released the specific, full list of batch numbers at the time this post was written.

“Whilst we appreciate the criminals’ exceptional taste, the fact remains that cargo theft is an escal-ating issue for businesses of all sizes,” the spokesperson added.
