What a week! The unofficial end of summer appears to be the official start of Pumpkin Spice season. Several coffee/stacks vendors have released full fall PS menus! And Chuck E. Cheese is cementing its rep. as ‘Birthday Capital of the Universe’…
Chuck E. Cheese celebrates biggest birthday
Turns out the most popular birth date in the world is September 9. So CEC – famous for kids’ birthday parties – is giving away 500 free Chucky parties, with pizza, cake and goodie bags. A live drawing will take place at each location on September 9, awarding a fully-loaded party to one kid and 10 friends. “As the Birthday Capital of the Universe, our first Chuck E. Cheese Big Day of Birthdays will bring the joy of celebrating a birthday at Chuck E. Cheese to 500 lucky kids and their friends nationwide,” said Chuck E. Cheese Chief Marketing Officer Sean Gleason. The big party of parties is also happening in Canada.
7-Eleven does Game Day Grub
The convenience store-cum-Fast-Food-purveyor has unveiled anew Game Day Grub Menu in honour of the new NFL season. Choices include: Spicy Meat Pizza; Cheesy Garlic Bread Sticks; the Chicken Bacon Ranch Roller; and Korean BBQ ‘Bonless’ Wings. They’re at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores now through September 30.
Wing Stop goes Cajun
Wing Stop has a new, limited-time Cajun Meal Deal. Cher, if you likes it hot, dis one fo you!
Options include: a Cajun Chicken Sandwich; an 8-piece order of Classic Wings; an 8-piece order of ‘Boneless’ Wings; and an 3-piece order of Crispy Tenders. All are tossed in Louisiana Spice Rub. Each Meal also includes Cajun Fries and a 20 oz. / 590 ml fountain drink.
Arby’s brings back ‘Boneless’ Wings
Arby’s proves they still ‘Have the Meats!’ – even if the meat is chicken this time, not beef. Specifically, they’re bringing back their ‘Bop0neless’ Wings in two flavours: Buffalo and Hot Honey BBQ. Um… Is it just me, or do these look less like wings and more like nuggets or chunks? Now at participating locations, for a limited time.
Chick-Fil-A goes humanitarian
CFA recently discontinued its Chicken Salad Sandwich. Many loved it and mourns its passing. But many more didn’t. And it didn’t fit in with CFA’s core menu, which features crispy cried chicken.
Anyway… CFA has released the recipe for its Chicken Salad Sandwich so fans can continue to enjoy it at home. Downright nice of them. And the publicity surrounding the release doesn’t hurt, either…
Jack In The Box reprises Potato Wedges
Jack’s fan fave Potato Wedges are back, topped with shredded cheddar cheese, cheddar cheese sauce, ranch, and bacon crumbles. Choose Classic or Spicy. Now through October 1, at participating JITB locations across the U.S.
Hot Ones launches Spicy Chicken Strips
For heat-and-eat snacking fans: Hot Ones is partnering with Kroger supermarkets across the U.S. to introduce new Spicy Chicken Strips.
Though they look more like ‘boneless’ wing flatties to me. Whatever… They come in two flavours: Spicy Garlic; and Smoky Habaeñro. They’re made to match with existing Hot Ones Sauces.
Krispy Kreme reprises Strawberry Glaze
