The Lenten season is here. And this year the Bunny has come early, with a special Easter delivery from OREOs. The cookie brand that just can’t stop rolling out new flavours has débuted a new Easter/Spring variation that features two colours of Stuff…
Oreo Easter Colored Creme cookies feature the full compliment of Special Edition Features. The brand’s beloved chocolate cookie is embossed with five fun seasonal shapes, including a baby chick, butterfly, bee, and two unique bunny designs. And each one has two colours of stuff in 2 separate layers.
Another ‘special’ feature: The cookies are individually wrapped for use as party or table favours, Easter Basket stuffers or, simply, individual snacks.
Limited edition
Oreo Easter Limited Edition cookies (12.2 oz) typically retail for approximately $4.97 to $6.99 at major US retailers like Safeway and Walmart. OREO Originals are selling for $3.50 to $4.99 today, across a selection of supermarket chains.
Of course, the Easter OREO is a limited edition variation. But fear not. It looks really different – fancy, even. But for all the snazzy, coloured Stuff, the company reassures us, it tastes exactly the same as the original.
My take
SO… If you miss your chance at the Easter special, just go ahead and close your eyes while munching on a Classic OREO. And visualize coloured eggs, chocolate bunnies and treat-filled baskets.
Unless you have plans that could include individually-wrapped OREOs…
