Gingerbread Cola is a ‘natural’ that everyone missed. Until now. Just thinking about the festive combo makes my mouth water. Pepsi was recently relegated to third place in the Cola Wars, after Coke and Dr. Pepper. Can Gingerbread Cola help it come back?
Will this fresh, new seasonal idea from Pepsi be enough to at least help it begin recovering lost ground? Crazy as it sounds, the Holiday season couldn’t have come at a better time to help promote this creative, instant-classic flavour variant.

Try to imagine this new flavour combo in your mouth’s eye (so to speak). The unique, almost citrusy zing of Pepsi, with it’s hint of spice and trademark own take on classic Cola flavour… Now add just the right amount of Gingerbread savour – cinnamon, ginger, and cloves – to complement the soda’s clas-sic formula.
“Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread gave me a dirty soda vibe because it has a complex taste with an al-most creamy mouthfeel – even without the added creamer,” says reviewer Bailey Fink. “It truly does taste like the holiday season in a can. And, speaking of, the can itself is incredibly adorable, with a gingerbread house design.”
Fink confesses, it’s her fave holiday season soda release by far. Even though, “had you told me that two days ago, I would never have believed you.”
My take
I haven’t actually been able to try any version – Regular, Diet or Zero Sugar – of Pepsi Gingerbread. Yet. But this is one totally new seasonal product I’ll be making a concerted effort to taste.
Kudos to Pepsi for coming up with this almost-too-good holiday indulgence concept!
