Here we are less than a week to Christmas, and still the new seasonal stuff is flooding onto the Fast Food scene! I hope at least some of it stays around after New Year’s. Can’t wait to try making my own version of Guy Fieri’s sky-high Trash Can Nachos… And Pepsi dares to add Hot Coca flavour!

Ever see the (reportedly) iconic episode of Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives where he comes across a creation called Trash Can Nachos? Starting with a big, empty, clean 100 oz. / 3 litre ‘restaurant-sized metal can, you stack layers of crispy tortilla chips with cheddar cheese, cheese sauce, brown sugar BBQ Sauce, black beans, pico de gallo, jalapeños, sour cream, cilantro, and pickled red onions. Those are all Guy’s-Brand ingredients where applicable in a new kit from Goldbelly prestige food kits. The Black Bean version is (US)$69 while the Brisket and Pulled Pork versions are each $79. But there’s no reason not to make your own from scratch for an estimated $20 or so…
White Castle brings back Sloppy Joe sliders
Yah! Gimme a six-pack! And throw in a Shareable Stack of Mac ‘n Cheese Nibblers… This time around there are both original SJ Sliders featuring: onions, tomatoes, bell peppers, and a sweet-and-tangy sauce and Smoky Joe’s, which add smoked cheddar cheese and fried onion crisps. At participating White Castle locations through February 14.
Papa John’s celebrates with Epic Pizza
The full name is new Epic Stuffed Pizza, and its an original-style stuffed-cruster with a rolled-edge full of Mozzarella Cheese. Toppings configuration is s a standard Papa John’s 1-topping deal. Use the promo code ‘STUFFED’ when ordering. At select locations starting December 21 for Papa Rewards members , and December 28 for all customers chain-wide.
Little Caesar’s tests Kooky Dough Brownies
Yes, that’s spelled right. This new dessert consists of Chocolate Brownies layered with soft cookie dough and topped M&M’s Minis. Looks good and is certainly colourful. Chocolate Lovers rejoice! it’s being tested in Tennesee over the holidays.
‘Brookie-O’ Cookies a tripe-treat mouthful
OREOs, after hearing that fans were mashing up their filling flavours, have decided to brighten your season with what they call Brookie-Os: triple layer specials with layers of Brownie, Cookie Dough and regular OREO cream in one cookie sandwich. Brookie-Os will appear at the usual OREO outlets starting next month, while supplies last.

Pepsi has added a new, oddball Holiday flavour: Cocoa. As in Hot Cocoa. It’s officially described as a blend of Cocoa, Chocolate and Marshmallow, with an overall background of Pepsi.
