Chipotle’s settles GMO suit
The once-troubled firm has settled a class action suit over its ‘Non GMO’ claims the Burrito chain that can’t seem to stay out of trouble will pay a total of (US)$6.5 million to settle a ‘false advertising’ suit that claimed the company lied about the ‘Non-GMO’ status of its ingredients. The company has recently gone to extremes to demonstrate how it adheres to or surpasses recognised standards for growing and raising foods for its restos that can be certified ‘Non-GMO’. But a group called The Non-GMO Project sued the chain for allegedly using animals that had been fed GMO feeds. The farmers who raised the animals say they followed all the rules. Rather than belabour the point, Chipotle’s just paid the Project to pipe down and go away.

… Launches Oatmilk U.S.-wide ahead of competitors
It’s been a race since the beginning of this year to see who would launch the latest vegan trend – Oat Milk – to the American market: Dunkins or Starbuck’s. Well, Dunkin’s has apparently won that horse race with the announcement that it’s adding the product to its menu immediately. customers can opt for Oatmilk in place of Almondmilk, Milk, or Cream as a whitener for their Coffee drinks, including frozen ones.
