Arby’s offers new Brisket, Beef ‘N Cheddar Sammy
The guys who’ve recently branded themselves as the ones who ‘Have The Meats’ have launched a new Bacon ‘N Brisket Beef ‘N Cheddar Sandwich (see picture, top of page). Sounds rich, and it looks pretty substantial. It starts with an onion Bun, then stacks it with thin-Sliced Brisket and Roast Beef, topped with Pepper Bacon, Cheddar Cheese Sauce and Red Ranch Sauce. At 760 Calories, 41 g of Fat and 2120 mg of Salt, it constitutes at least a third of your daily recommended total food intake, and the lion’s share of your recommended Fat and Salt allotments.
Popeye’s boxes a 1/4 Pound of Popcorn Shrimp…
The fish and seafood joint a lot of folks swear by is offering 4 oz. / 113 g of Breaded Popcorn Shrimp à la carte with Seafood Sauce for dipping for just (US)$2.49. It’s a limited time special, of course, so get on in there and take advantage of the savings. The 1/4 Pound of Popcorn Shrimp is usually offered only as part of a combo with a Side and a Biscuit for around (US)$6 (or more depending on where you are in the country).
…Brings back Honey Crunch Tenders for summer
First offered in 2017, Popeye’s popular Crunch Chicken Tenders (see picture, above) are back through this summer. It’s a combo deal comprising three marinated, crispy-fried Chicken Tenders dressed with Red Honey Sauce, a Biscuit and a side. Sounds as though they’ll be around until Labour Day, at least.
Chipotle’s gives away Free Burritos during NBA finals
The once troubled but slowly-rising-again Tex-Mex resto is offering free Burritos the first 20 times the TV announcer announcer says the word ‘Free!’ during the NBA finals. To cash in, you go to the Chipotle’s Twitter page and wait for them to Tweet a special code word. Then just text that word to ‘888222’. Each code word is only good for a limited number of burritos (up to 500 if it is released during the first half of a game, and up to 1,000 if it is released during the second half of a game). That will add up, Chipotle’s says, to more than (US)$1 million worth of free burritos. Good luck!
Cold Stone Creamery launches a new Hershey’s treat
CCC now offers Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream Cups. The Cups are Milk Chocolate, and they’re filled with layers of Reese’s Peanut Cream filling and Chocolate Ice Cream, then topped with Fudge Ganache, a sprinkling of Sea Salt and a wedge from an actual Peanut Butter Cup. Now, that’s decadent! They come in 12-cup packs in your supermarket’s freezer section.
