Del Taco features Honey Chipotle BBQ Brisket
You can get it as a Brisket Quesadilla; a Brisket and Bacon Burrito; or as Brisket and Bacon (bits-studded) Fries. The star ingredient is lean pulled-beef brisket, pit-smoked for 16 hours and brushed with smoky honey Chipotle BBQ sauce. There’s nothing else quite like it out there just now, that is. And as you might expect, it’s a limited-time offer.
Jack In The Box launches Taco TuesNight
Rushing to cash in on the promotional hubbub over the Taco Bell court victory over Taco John’s re.- the ‘Taco Tuesday’ slogan, JITB is suggesting an alternative: Taco TuesNight.
One-upping Taco Bell’s latest deal, Jack In The Box is offering Jack Pack reward members two free tacos with any regular menu purchase every Tuesday, beginning now. The one-upping references the expiry dates of the free taco deals. Taco Bell’s ends September 30. JITB’s bear no expiry date!
Carl’s Jr. does Big Char Chile Burger
Carl’s is now offering what it calls The Big Char Chile Burger (see picture, top of page). That’s a standard burger bun with a regular or Angus charbroiled patty, topped with a whole grilled Green Chili Pepper. Dressings include pepper jack cheese, creamy southwest sauce, and lettuce. Twin patty versions are available. I like the sound of that flavour!
SONIC blasts out
In spite of the fancy name, this creation is listed as a ‘value menu’ item. Starting with SONIC’s signature Texas Toast, the burger utilizes a junior grilled beef patty…
…topped with melted American (Processed) cheese, hickory-smoked bacon, and creamy peppercorn ranch. There’s a deal when you order the burger with a small-sized Tots or Fries.
Jollibee tests new Spaghetti-topped Chicken sammy
The Spaghettiwich is just that; a crispy-fried chicken breast topped with Jollibee’s signature Jolly Spaghetti and house Gravy. Comes in both regular and spicy chicken varieties. The Filipino Fast Food chain has only been in North America for a few years, but it’s been generating enthusiastic headlines across the food media. Domino’s rolls out new Pepperoni hand pie
Think McDonald’s dessert pies or Hot One x Hot Pockets. Domino’s is stuffing its iconic Cheesy Bread with a medley of cheeses and pepperoni, garnishing it with Parmesan and running it under the broiler for a crunchy finish.
“Adding our number one pizza topping to our Stuffed Cheesy Bread was a no-brainer. We honestly can’t believe we didn’t launch it sooner!” said Kate Trumbull, Domino’s Senior Vice President – Chief Brand Officer. Pepperoni Stuffed Cheesy Bread is just the latest addition to Domino’s Stuffed Cheesy Bread menu.

You get an order of 6 drummies and flatties for $5.99. They’re marinated, battered and fried, and can be doused or dipped in a new spicy-sweet sauce. There’s a limited-time deal for folks who order via the website or the mobile app. It gets you a free side.
Wendy’s unveils Nacho Cheese sammys…
Wendy’s is launching a new ensemble of Nacho-inspired sandwiches and fries. They’re front-and-centre in the recently inaugurated Made To Crave menu. The new loaded Nacho Cheeseburger starts with a signature square grilled beef patty.
It’s topped with American (processed)cheese, roasted poblano queso, spicy corn tortilla strips, chipotle sauce, lettuce, and tomato, And the real ‘new’ feature of this offering: a Jalapeño cheddar roll. There’s also a Loaded Nacho Chicken Sandwich which simply swaps out the beef patty for a crispy fried Chicken Breast. And don’t forget the Queso-blessed fries.

Doritos sneaks out Late Night Loaded Taco chips
Hardly a week goes by these days that Doritos (under the guidance of parent Frito Lay) doesn’t roll out a new flavour. The latest is Late Night Loaded Taco.

As add as it may sound, Gold Fish crackers have issued a special fall version: Dunkin’ Pumpkin Spice Grahams. As much as I decry the tired old Pumpkin Spite ‘tradition’, I have to admit this product earns a gold star based on my criteria for a truly ‘new’ snack. Novelty Alert! Oscar Mayer releases Franken-Straw
You’ll recall that an anonymous sports fan was caught in a viral video about a year ago using a hot dog as a beer straw. Now, Oscar Mayer, the hot dog giant is offering a limited-edition frankfurter beer straw.
It’s all plastic, so you can rinse and reuse as many times as you want to. The catch is, you have to pre-order at the website. “Wash thoroughly before use. Hand wash only with soap and warm water. Not dishwasher safe. Do not microwave. Not intended for use with hot beverages. ”
Novelty Alert! Capri Sun Fruit Punch silences kids
Capri Sun, makers of a variety of fruit punches aimed at kids, is offering a limited-edition special aimed at adults. The package looks like it might house a st of fancy noise-cancelling headphones…
