Burger King adds Double Candied Maple Bacon
Get it on the new BK Double Candied Maple Bacon, Egg & Cheese Croissan’wich, or the new Candied Maple Bacon Burrito Jr. The Croissan’wich features a double portion of Candied Maple Bacon (not a single portion of double-candied bacon!)…
… eggs, and a slice of American (processed) cheese on a toasted croissant. The Burrito Jr. starts with four half-strips of Candied Maple Bacon and adds eggs, American cheese, and hash browns, all wrapped up in a flour tortilla.
Whataburger brings back Bacon Steakhouse Double and Pudding
The huge Bacon Steakhouse Double is back at Whataburger. And it’s just $3. For a limited time, of course. At participating locations. The fan fave The Banana Pudding Shake is also back, its signature, “sweet banana flavour with hints of vanilla wafer, caramelized sugar, and vanilla.”
Shake Shack adds Pimentos to new Burgers
The Shack had a ton of special sauce made, with cheddar Cheese and Cherry Pepper bits, to feature in its new Clubhouse Pimento Cheese Burger (see photo, top of page), and Chicken Sandwich. The stuff is meant to replace cheese and mayo on both. The Burger is, otherwise, a simple one, with Shack Sauce, lettuce and tomato on top. The Chicken Sammy is similar, with Shack Sauce, lettuce and pickles.
Jack In The Box features Smashed Jack Sliders
it’s a special roll-out in celebration of the chain’s 75th anniversary. Each Slider starts with a Brioche Bun and a 2 oz / 56 g smashed patty and is topped with American (processed) cheese, pickles, and Smashed Jack sauce.
Get ’em in a 3-pack for $9.95, a Meal Deal for $14, or an 8-count Party Pack for $24. Prices may vary according to where you lie…

NOVELTIES
Megan Three Stallion and Nickelback in Cheetos duet
MTS and Nickelback have joined up0 for a special new duet video praising Cheetos Flamin’ Hot. ‘Pickle’s Back’ reimagines the latter’s 2001 hit ‘How You Remind Me’ with verses from MTS. “It was only right for the Hot Girl Coach to team up with Cheetos to bring back the iconic, Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle flavor,” Meg said, in a statement. She’s also a well-known Cheetos fan… “Creating ‘Pickle’s Back’ was about bringing pickle power back to the people,” video director Dave Meyers added.
Grillo’s pouch-packs pickle powered hydration
Those crazy folks at Grillo’s have come out with another product – aimed at the active set: ‘Pickle I.V.’. The so-called ‘Hydration Multiplier’ is a powdered Electrolyte Drink Mix you add to water.
It started out as an April Fool’s joke, but fans responded resoundingly in favour online. And the Liquid I.V. Hydration sports drink people responded with a limited-time Grillo’s flavour…
EVENTS
World’s Largest Fast Food Chain now in US!
It’s the Chinese Ice Cream monster, Mixue, has opened its first US store in NYC, with what appears to be a head-on challenge to both Dairy Queen and Starbuck’s – and a side-eye glance at McDonald and its new beverages… “Standout menu items include the Super Mango Sundae, Matcha Soft Serve, and Jasmine Float, which balance bold flavors with affordability,” Food & Wine reports.
Hershey’s to revert to real chocolate!
Hershey’s was recently called out by Brad Reese, the grandson of the founder, for using ‘fake’ choc-olate. Now, the candy maker has announced it will go back to using ‘classic milk and dark chocolate recipes’ in all its products by 2027. “If this is true, the people who deserve the credit are the loyal fans who were alarmed by what Hershey was doing,” Reese told NBC News.
Mukbang Burger goes ‘national’
More than 200 Ruby Tuesday’s locations across the US will help bring Mukbang Burgers to fans nationwide. The online-only burger purveyor currently operates out of host kitchens, without its own stores.
But the chain has partnered with RT’s to have their kitchens ‘fulfil’ its orders in selected cities. Orders can be placed through: mukbangburger.com or via Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub. (Note: Mukbang Burger menu items will NOT be available for ‘dine in’ at RT’s…)
Survey: Big Arch prices vary wildly
McDonald’s fans will be shocked to find how much menu prices for the ‘new’ Big Arch Burger vary across the US. According to a new survey by NeoMam Studio, the cheapest place to buy a Big Arch is Columbia, South Carolina, where the burger is ‘less than $7.50’. The costliest Big Arch comes from Lewiston, Maine, at ‘nearly $13’. We all know Fast Food prices ‘may vary’… But, REALLY!
And that’s the skinny…
… On what’s going to be making some of us a little more ‘swavoury’ and/or ‘swalty’ in the coming days and weeks. See you back here in 7 for the next way-too-yummy edition of Fast Food Week!
