Jack In The Box brings back the Chicken Supreme
A classy name for a classy classic! The Supreme was first introduced in 1980 – 46 years ago! – but dis-continued in 2004. But it’s back for a limited time, to celebrate Jack’s 75th anniversary. The Chicken Supreme is described as: a crispy-fried chicken patty, topped with ‘Swiss-style’ cheese, lettuce, toma-to, and mayo-onion sauce, on a toasted wheat bun.
McDonald’s updates $5 Value Meals
The Burger Giant has freshened up its $5 Extra Value Meal menu with 2 new additions: a $5 Sausage McMuffin with Egg Meal; and an $8 Two Snack Wrap Meal. They’re available for a limited time, at participating locations. McD’s keeps the Extra Value Meal menu rolling perpetually, but updates its roster at irregular intervals…
Jersey Mike’s adds a Hot Italian
Jersey Mike’s seems to be adding something new every week, these days! This week, it’s Mike’s new Hot Italian Sub. It starts with your choice of bread…
… Then adds ham, salami, and pepperoni grilled and chopped with melted provolone cheese. That luxe filling is then topped with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and Mike’s chopped pepper relish. Not a ‘value’ menu item, but worth every penny!

Wing Stop pours more Hot Honey
Wing Stop is at it again, expanding their already-niche-leading sauce lineup by three new Hot Honey variations: They include: Hot Honey Rub; Saucy Sriracha Hot Honey; and Sweet Garlic Hot Honey. “Hot Honey fans are passionate, and we wanted to give them more ways to indulge,” Michael Skipworth, President and CEO of Wingstop said in a statement.
Grillo’s, Heluva Good! partner on Pickle Dip
The hip pickle guys at Grillo’s have joined forces with the hip dip house guys at Heluva Good! And they’ve unveiled a new pickle-flavoured dip. The Dip guys say the concept was a natural: take two leaders in their respective niches and come up with something greater than the simple sum of the parts. Heluva Good! Grillo’s Pickle Dip is available for a limited time, at all the usual outlets.
BEVERAGES
Beyond Meat in the Protein Drink Niche?
It’s true. And they’re also thinking of taking an even-deeper plunge into the burgeoning protein sector. But that’s a story for its own post, next week…
But right now, they’re launching a line of protein-powered ‘healthy’ beverages featuring functional levels of plant protein, fiber, antioxidants, and electrolytes. You can choose from three flavours to start: Mango, Lemon Lime, and Orange Tangerine.
Chick-Fil-A adds Creamy Cold Brews
The Chicken Sandwich pioneer is adding a duo of cream-dressed Cold-Brewed Coffees. They’re playing it safe, with classic Caramel and Mocha flavors, in the company of current Vanilla and Plain options. They’re all based on the chain’s Cold Brew, with a sworl of its Vanila Shake Mix…
Starbuck’s still doing seasonal specialty bevs
In spite of its new CEO’s command to cut the fancy drinks, Starbuck’s continues its habit of splashing out special menus that might be driving their baristas nuts… The premium coffee chain is offering up a new lucky-13 list of new bevs including three new protein drinks. The ‘winter season’ menu also features two Dubai Chocolate quaffs.
DESSERTS & SNACKS
MARVEL + OREO = ‘STUF Of Legends’
All that, and the play on words, as well! OREO is adding a new fan base to its legions of cookie lovers: MARVEL followers! New MARVEL OREO Stuf of Legends Cookies début across Canada on February 2.
Each special SOL cookie package will feature one of three special-edition card packs, illustrated by Marvel Comics artist Todd Nauck. The cookies themselves feature a record 32 different MARVEL character imprints and a colour-changing filling inside.
Butterfinger goes fancy with French Toast
Yes, the venerable old Butterfinger chocolate bar is adding a new upgraded version: French Toast. Instagrammer candyhunting describes the bar as having, “[…]the classic Butterfinger crunchy peanut butter centre with a maple-forward coating.” The new treat will be appearing on shelves soon, in a king-size pack containing two shareable bars.
Tostitos buck the downtrend in salty snacks
Amid all the recent negative media coverage of salty, fatty, snacks, Tostitos brand corn chips is forging ahead with a new variety: Tostitos Mexican Street Corn. As you’d expect, it’s based on the flavours of Mexican Elote, with sour cream notes, classic Mexican spices, and the tang of lime.

Annual Best New Products List
More than 260,000 North Americans were asked… And they picked 2 big Fast Food & Snack débuts among their overall, all-product-type faves of 2025.
They include Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Bar Fireworks and Crunchie variants, and Nestlés Drumstick Bites. Non-snack food category winners included Heinz’s flavoured mayo sauces…
