Tim Horton’s 2025 Smile Cooke fundraising campaign set a new record for donations. More than $13 million was raised for local charities, community groups and Tim Horton’s Foundation Camps…
“We are so grateful to Tims restaurant owners, team members and volunteers across the country for their dedication to making this year’s Holiday Smile Cookie campaign a huge success,” said Axel Schwan, president of Tim Horton’s, in the official news release.
“A huge thanks goes out to the countless Tims guests who purchased Holiday Smile Cookies for their gen-erosity. With 100 per cent of proceeds from every cookie sold donated to local charities, community groups and Tims Camps, you’ve helped make a real dif-ference in your community.”
Contributions make programs possible
“The generosity of Canadians never ceases to amaze us,” enthused Caroline Barham, president of Tim Horton’s Foundation Camps and a Tim Hortons restaurant owner in Western Canada. “More than just a festive treat, every Holiday Smile Cookie purchased makes a meaningful impact in communities across the country. And for Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, this means that we can continue to empower underserved youth to build bigger and brighter futures.”
My take
Tim Horton’s camp programs have been a fixture in Canadian Life since just after the first store opened in 1964. And the program has constantly grown broader and enlarged itself to serve more kids every year.
Tim Horton – a star Toronto Maple Leafs NHL player – lived and breathed sports and the outdoors. And the concept behind the Camps still bears his personal stamp.
And I’m gratified to find that so many Canadians still have enough ‘spare change’ to afford a Smile Cookie at Yuletide. Even in these economically trying times…
