Everybody’s favourite classic country singer, Dolly Parton, has her fingers in a lot of pies already. The Dollywood entertainment complex is just one. And she’s still performing and recording. Now, Dolly’s getting into the coffee business…
The official news release says it better than I could: “Inspired by Dolly Parton’s beloved anthem 9 to 5, the global sup-erstar launches a new signature coffee brand, Cup of Ambition, in partnership with Community Coffee.”
“Launching with Light, Medium, and Dark roasts, Dolly worked with the Saurage family – Community Coffee’s founding family now in its fifth gener-ation – to curate an initial range of offerings…”
Dolly is dedicated to family and com-munity… Which makes her partnership with Community a natural: “The com-pany remains true to its purpose of creating community over coffee by supporting our heroes: educators, first responders, military members and community-focused organizations.”
Working 9 to 5…
“I’ve spent a lifetime workin’ 9 to 5, 5 to 9, and every hour in between! It takes a lot of energy to pur-sue your passion and navigate each day,” says Dolly. “That’s why I wanted to make a coffee that works just as hard. You know, I begin each morning with a head full of dreams, a notepad full of ideas, and a cup or two of coffee. Whether you’re chasing dreams, tackling that to-do list, or just enjoying a quiet morning at home. I hope it brings a smile with every sip.”
You’d almost think she wrote that marketing blurb herself! Maybe she did… Because Dolly has a rep-utation as hands-on partner in every business opportunity she’s embraced.
The coffee…
There are many nicknames for the universally celebrated morning cup of coffee: Java, Joe, Mud, Brew, Jitter Juice, Jamocha, eye-opener, rocket fuel, morning jolt…
But they all pertain to the same thing. And Dolly and her Parton-ers call it a Cup of Ambition. because that’s what we all need when we reach for a… hit of Black Gold?
Dolly’s Cup of Ambition made its public debut at the opening of Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop – the first of a coming chain travel centers – this past June 24, off Exit 22 on I-65 south of Nashville.
My take
Wow! Dolly’s set a pretty high bar! I hope everyone involved in the project primed themselves with a strong, hot cup of coffee before plunging into the project!
