DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE!

Once Upon A Time…

There was a Fascinating, Fun, Fabulous Food Blog
called MAGGIEJS.CA…

Now and then,

…at irregular intervals,
or when something broke,
the folks who toiled thanklessly
in the deepest recesses of
Maggie’s server cellar
called for a break from the usual
24/7/365 Posting Schedule…

They wanted to check everything
behind the Magical Internet Curtain
to make sure it was running
as smoothly and reliably as
Maggie J.’s spotless kitchen,
and install overdue updates for
all critical systems, to ensure
that everyone who visited
the Fab Food Blog experienced it
at its sparkling, lightening-fast best!

These often-unplanned
‘breaks from the every-day’
usually occurred when
Maggie’s faithful followers
should really have been somewhere
other than in front of a screen,
doing something more relevant
to what was going on in the Real World,
anyway.

And so it was,

…one gorgeous Summer Saturday,
when the kids had just
slipped the surly bonds of School
to strut the ‘hood’ in glitter-silvered sneaks,
that the Head Troll stuck her gnarly noggin
up through the dusty trap door
with the ‘PRIVATE” sign on it
and shouted, “Get out of here!
And soak up some natural-source
vitamin D amid the glories
of the Great Outdoors!”

And so they did…
