We’re nearing the point where the Fab Food Blog will reach 2 million ‘unique visitors’ per year! And to celebrate, I’m delighted to invite fans and experienced writers alike to submit guest posts for our consideration…
Our ‘coverage area’…
Maggie J’s Fab Food Blog covers ‘all things food’. That includes: recipes, cooking tips and food culture; food products, makers and retailers; restaurants, Fast Food and dining trends; wellness, health and nutrition issues; even political and policy matters pertaining to your food: where it comes from, how it’s handled, why it costs so much – and who’s responsible.
If you have an idea which fits that broad spectrum of topics, feel free to send us 400 to 600 (or so) words of your wisdom on the matter. As a famous old maxim goes: “Enough is equal to a feast!” We’ll audition every submission for a guest shot.
And there’s no rule that says you have to agree with our views or policy positions. This is, potentially, your chance to get on the ‘Op-Ed’ page!
Why?
Even our most-faithful followers can bear to read one person’s ramblings for only just so long before they rebel, go bananas, or just plain get bored.
As another famous old maxim goes: “Variety is the spice of life!”
And, as we surpass that 2 million-follower mark, we want to showcase as many other ‘sides to the story’ as we can accommodate. In hopes of appealing to even more astute readers.
What you get…
Obviously, the FFB does not expect contributors to go unrewarded. But, as you know, we have manag-ed to stay ad-free since our inception, 15 years ago. To maintain this status, we can currently offer you only the ‘ego-boo’ of exposure to our large and growing audience. And the oppodtunity to be seen by other publishers who might be able to pay actual money for your efforts.
My take
I’ve always wanted the Fab Food Blog to be a real community. And the most important foundation stone on which to build a community is a free and frank exchange of views.
So… Go ahead! Throw one at me!
E-mail your submissions, as separate attachments, to: submissions@maggiejs.ca .
