Now through Feb. 28, LC’s is offering the deal to folks who order via the online app. Pick your own toppings. At participating outlets across the U.S. The Cast Food joints are certainly pushing their app-an Website based ordering systems heavily this winter . I’m thinking they want a lot more fans than currently to to use those automated pay-order systems, which by their nature cost much less to operate than conventional ones with humans in the loop…

Firehouse Subs updates their Hook and Ladder

The new Hook and Ladder is said to have been ‘inspired by’ the ubiquitous ‘Everything’ Bagel. It starts with hot smoked turkey breast, Virginia Honey ham on a new everything bagel-seasoned sub roll, stacked with Monterey Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, deli mustard, and Philadelphia Cream Cheese. The new Sub is, of course, only here for a limited time…

SONIC flouts Extra-Long Ultimate Cheesesteaks

What’s ultimate about ’em? seasoned steak and grilled onions, topped with melty cheddar cheese, zesty cheese sauce, and Tots, on an extra-long bun. The Extra-Long Ultimate Cheesesteak stacks a special extra-lung Bun with seasoned steak, grilled onions, melted cheddar cheese, and zesty cheese sauce, and tops that all with Tater Tots. The Spicy Extra-Long Ultimate Cheesesteak takes the same components and adds jalapeño slices.

Church’s Chicken boosts Tenders to ‘Texas’ Style

Church’s is adding ‘big and bold’ Texas Tenders to its permanent menu. They’re larger than regular tenders and come paired with a new Smoky Honey-Q BBQ Sauce, which features a blend of BBQ sauce, honey mustard, and a hint of seasoning. Get ’em for a limited-time as part of the new $5 Tenders ‘N Shrimp combo meal. After that, order ’em separately.

McDonald’s reprises Shamrock Shake and OREO Shamrock McFlurry

St. Patrick’s Day is still more than a week away, but the ancient and venerable Shamrock Shake and the OREO Shamrock McFlurry (first offered last year) are back for the Irish festival everybody celebrates. Starting February 15, 2021, and running for a limited time at participating US locations.

Pronouncer Alert: ‘Nutella’

Seems the vast majority of Nutella lovers have been pronouncing the name of the creamy treat incorrectly all their lives. James Stewart, Marketing Director for Nutella, Ferrero UK & Ireland, says: “As Nutella is enjoyed in every corner of the world, there has long been some fun debates on how it should be pronounced. Our Nutella team wanted to share how we pronounce the iconic spread’s name. We emphasise the ‘NOU’ in ‘NOU-tella’, but we don’t mind how our fans decide to pronounce it – the most important thing to us is that you enjoy it!”

And that’s the skinny…

… On what will be making some of us fatter over the days, weeks and unofficial holidays to come. See you back right here in 7 for the next edition of Fast Food Week!
