Arby’s brings back Fish sammys
Now through Lent, Arby’s Crispy Fish Sandwich and King’s Hawaiian Fish Deluxe return to the menu. Both are based on a crispy-fried fish filet topped with shredded lettuce and tartar sauce. The King’s Hawaiian version adds real cheddar cheese and sliced tomato, and is served on a King’s Hawaiian bun. Now through April 23, 2023, at participating outlets.
$5 Chicken Pot Pie back at KFC
KFC is bringing back its single-serving Chicken Pot Pie – a favourite since its first limited-time appearance back in 1995. It’s a classic based on fried chicken pieces, diced potatoes, peas, and carrots, in a savory béchamel sauce, crimped into a flaky crust. (See photo, top of page.)
Chipotle kicks of ’23 with new Lifestyle Bowls
Not just one or two – but one for every day of the week! In collaboration with SnapChat, Chipotle has set up a new Augmented Reality (AR) Lens designed to motivate their followers to keep up healthy habits.
The lens kicks off next Friday, January 13, with a program of exercises and suggestions to help users uphold their New Year’s resolutions. One catch: The new Bowls are available only online, across the U.S. and Canada.
Dairy Queen Offers Cheeseburger deal
The Cheeseburger Lover’s Deal gets you two Original Cheeseburgers for $5, or 2 two 1/3-lb Double Cheeseburgers for $7, at participating locations.
Burger King revives $5 Your Way Meal deal…
Burger King brings back the $5 Your Way Meal deal with a choice of 3 entrées. your options: a Whopper Jr., Bacon Cheeseburger, or Chicken Jr.
Whichever way you go, you also get small order of French fries, a 4-piece order of chicken nuggets, and a small fountain drink. At participating BK locations now for a limited time.
… Adds a Spicy Original Chicken sammy
The Fiery Original Chicken Sandwich consists of a long, crispy-fried spicy chicken patty served with shredded lettuce and mayo on a toasted sesame seed hoagie-style roll. At participating locations. No word if it’s ‘fierier’ than the ‘Spicy’ Chicken sammy offered in the past. But ‘Fiery’ is definitely the current adjective to indicate ‘spicy’.
Carl’s Jr. offers two for $5 mix-and-match deal
Not really copycatting BK, Carl’s Jr. is offering a $5 mix-and-match deal. Choose any 2 from a list of 6 selected menu items for $5 at participating Car’s locations across the chain. Choose: a Spicy Chicken Sandwich; a Cheeseburger; an order of Small Natural-Cut French Fries; an order of Small Hash Rounds; French Toast Dips; or a 6-piece order of Chicken Stars. Individual items available at times of day when they’re normally available. At participating outlets.
Little Caesar’s adds versions to Pizza and Stix deal
Bacon and Jalapeño versions have been added to the original Pepperoni and Cheese Stix version of the half-and-half round-crust specialty.
All three versions come with with Crazy Sauce (marinara) for dipping. The unlikely creation has apparently emerged as a winner among fans.
Popeye’s brings back Lemon and Strawberry creams
The Blueberry Lemon Cream Cheese Pie is turnover that comes filled with a combination of blueberry and cream cheese with a ‘hint of lemon’. The Strawberry Cheesecake Cup features a cheesecake filling swirled with strawberry purée, on a slab of graham cracker crust. The Cinnamon Apple (turnover) Pie remains available.
Jack In The Box pours Red Bull Infusions
There are two: Red Daze (Red Bull Energy infused with strawberry flavor) and Berry Purple Daze (with mixed berry flavors). They’re being promoted as cold (iced) alternatives to coffee as caffeinated bevs.
