Going Veggie: How Much Longer Will You Hold Out?

Here’s a question I don’t think any of the mainstream blogs or ‘market watch’ shows has started asking, yet: How much longer will you hold out before you stop buying common / conventional foods and switch to a veggie diet?

It’s going to be a staple of your family’s cookbook.
How much longer will you hold out?

Caveats

I guess that depends at least in part, on how soon raising / growing conventional foods become unsustainable. Farmers / growers will tell us the answer to that question.

Or before now-common foods price themselves out of the reach of the average person. Each of us has to decide that one for themself.

Will you jump in both feet forward when it’s time for you to go veggie? Or will you phase out conventional meat proteins and segue over from the produce you eat now to cheaper vegetarian foods that are currently unfamiliar to you?

Keep in mind that if the self-appointed experts are correct – and global warming keeps accelerating ahead of original projections issued a few years back and since then – the crunch will come by 2030 – 2035. This is a question you should now consider a top priority in your life-plan.

My take

I’ll bet you’ll find that you should already have been making firm plans to switch diets, or at least initiate the segue / phase-over process. And I’ll bet you’ve done neither yet!

As time goes on, we and other sensible, sustainable food advocates will be providing news, tips and recommendations as we all paddle into the future, up Veggie River, into the great unknown.

Muse on that…
