Arby’s brings back Brisket Bacon Flatbread…
Arby’s is bringing back its Brisket Bacon Flatbread sandwich for summer. The sammy starts with smoked brisket, pepper bacon, and a slice of cheddar cheese, then adds tomatoes, shredded lettuce, smoky BBQ sauce, and mayo.

The kicker is, the whole assemblage is served up on a folded Pita. That’s both a big mouthful and a hearty belly-full. It’s around for an unspecified limited time this summer.

Wendy’s will give you a small free small Frosty or Frosty-ccino with any purchase – on any of the remaining Fridays this month. Other deals include: a “$2 off any breakfast combo” offer in their mobile app; free delivery on any order through the app (June 17-July 1); a free 10-piece order of chicken nuggets with any purchase for new app users; and a whole laundry list more – all designed to promote use of the mobile app.
Kelloggs slides out new Pop Tarts…
Kelloggs – which recently revived its interest in the ancient and venerable Pop Tart – has launched three new flavours of the toaster pastry treat: Peach Cobbler, Banana Creme Pie, and Lemon Creme Pie. They join Tropical Mango, released earlier. All are available ‘for a limited time only’.
… Nutritional drinks that taste like Cereal
Carnation Breakfast Essentials is collabbing with Kelloggs to bring you nutrient-rich breakfast drinks designed to supplement your usual nutrient-poor day-starter. Choose varieties that taste like Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes, Krave, and Golden Grahams cereals. Just the thing for those who customarily just grab a hunk of toast or a Pop Tart before heading off to work or school. The next generation of so-called ‘meal replacement’ beverages designed to balance out unhealthy diets and ‘Boost’ the nutritional intake of seniors
Hostess ‘Muff’n Stix’ a grab-‘n-go breakfast…
These vaguley oblong-rectangular ‘stix’ are basically free-form, wrapper-free muffins you can hold in one hand and munch on the go. They’re available (to start, at least) in Blueberry and Chocolate Chip. They come in ‘single serve but sharable’ three-packs.

Hostess has also launched a new dessert called Mini Bundts – snack-sized versions of the famous big round cake with the hole in the middle. To start, at least, they come in two flavours: Cinnamon Swirl and Lemon Drizzle. Look for them wherever you find Hostess snacks.
Krispy Kreme unveils new Lemonade Glazed doughnuts
KK has come up with a selection of summer-themed Lemonade-Glazed doughnuts (see photo, top- of page) including: a Lemonade Glazed Original Donut; a Lemonade Glazed, Lemon Kreme Filled Ring Donut; a Strawberry Lemonade Donut; and a Pink Lemonade Cake Donut. Get these ‘freshly squeezed’ treats (as KK bills them) for a limited but unspecified time…
Pringles launches new summer flavour
Pringles new Wavy Pineapple Habañero flavour comes with a new wrinkle – or crinkle, really. Its thicker than the usual Pringles, and is ‘wavy’ – much like a Ruffles Chip. The idea with Ruffles was that the ‘ruffles’ and the thicker chip would facilitate dipping without breaking, especially in thicker dips. The new Pringles chips are available for a limited time at Walgreens. Hope they show up at the regular outlets later in the season.
