Taco Bell, Popeye’s, Pizza Hut and Panera offer new deals for tale-out and delivery. And Good Humor and Dairy Queen have new Ice Cream Bars to remind us Summer is coming…

Fast Food chains girding for dine-in reopening

Your favourite Fast Food outlets are reopening for dine-in business – albeit on a limited basis as prescribed by social distancing rules – but your dine-in experience won’t look a lot like what you’re used to. McDonald’s, the Tim Horton’s-Burger King-Popeye’s family of restos, and Subway have all published plans designed to keep both customers and staff safe wile letting families get out of the house for a meal. All the other major chains are preparing to re-open under similar regimes. Visit the website for your fave resto, read their plan for dine-in service, and decide if you want to risk it.

Taco Bell offers Nachos and Burritos Cravings Packs

For (US)$10 you get 2 Grandes Nachos Boxes or 6 Burritos, plus 2 Medium Fountain Drinks. The Grandes Nacho Box (see photo, above) starts with Tortilla Chips topped with the Bell’s signature Seasoned Beef, Refried Beans, Nacho Cheese Sauce, Shredded Cheese, Guacamole, Sour Cream, and Pico de Gallo. The Burrito Cravings Pack features three Shredded Chicken Burritos and three Beefy 5-Layer Burritos for $10. Both Cravings Packs available for a limited time only, of course.

Popeye’s launches new Family Bundles

The Fried Chicken folks who last year launched the Sandwich that caused riots have unleashed another great deal: A $12 Family Bundle that includes 10 pieces of Popeye’s signature bone-in Fried Chicken. Some of the previous Popeye’s Family deals came with Sides and Desserts portioned to feed 5. You can feed 5 with this Chicken-only deal and use up leftover sides from earlier suppers.

Pizza Hut gives away 500,000 Pies

The Hut is giving away 500,000 free single topping Pies to 2020 Grads until this coming Thursday, May 28 or while supplies last. You have to be a Hut Rewards Member Hut Rewards member. Sign into your account at the Hut’s Grad Party website to claim a digital coupon that can be redeemed through June 4, 2020 for a free medium, one-topping pizza (hand-tossed, pan, or thin crust).

Panera Bread offers deal on online orders

Panera is offering (US)$5 of any online order of (US)$20 or more for curbside pickup until May 31. Use the code: “CURBSIDE5” when ordering through the Panera website or app. WiFi has been extended to cover their parking lots and you can let them know you’ve arrived by tapping ‘I’m here’ in the app.

Good Humor and Pop Tarts partner on new Ice Cream Bar

Say an early ‘Hello!’ to summer! Good Humor has revealed a new Pop Tarts Brown Sugar Cinnamon Frozen Dessert Bar (see photo, top of page). A rich Cinnamon ice Cream core is surrounded by a Vanilla blanket and coated with crunchy Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Crumbles. Coming soon in 6-packs to a supermarket freezer compartment near you.

Dairy Queen débuts Vegan Dilly Bars

The famous DQ round, Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream treat on a spoony stick is now available in a Vegan version. The non-dairy Bar is made with Coconut Milk. They’re available form DQ stores a singles or in 6-packs.
