Taco Bell débuts new Buffalo Chicken Nacho Fries

The Bell is bringing back its popular Nacho Fries on January 30, and this time they’ll be accompanied by a new variant: Buffalo Chicken. The new menu item features Shredded Chicken, Shredded Cheese, Nacho Cheese Sauce, Pico de Gallo, and Sour Cream.  You can also get this ooey-gooey good mouthful in a burrito. Both Nacho Fries variants are available for a limited time only.

Burger King intros Cheddar Bacon King

BK is offering a Cheddar Cheese version of its Bacon King for a limited time. It starts with two quarter-pound Beef Patties on a Sesame Seed Bun, and tops them with thick-cut Bacon, Cheddar Cheese, Ketchup and Mayo. The Cheddar is real Cheddar, BTW; not the usual American (Processed) Cheese. At just over 1,100 Calories each, the Cheddar Bacon King could supply half of your daily energy needs.

Chick-Fil-A test market deletes menu items

When Fast Food launch a test market program, it’s usually to see how the masses will react to a proposed new menu item. Now, Chick-Fil-A (CFA) is market testing the removal of some items from its regular menu. Gone (at the test restos in North Carolina and Arizona) are: Sausage, Sunflower Multigrain Bagel, Original Chick-n-Strips, Grilled Cool Wrap, Side Salad, and Decaf Coffee. CFA says it needs to trim down its menu to ‘make room for future offerings’.

Hooters, Buffalo Wild Wings go into overtime

You’ve probably already heard of Buffalo Wild Wings offer of free Wings if the Super Bowl Game goes into overtime. Customers will be able to get one order of regular or boneless Snack Size Wings on February 17, between 4 and 7 p.m. – about two weeks after the game. Now Hooters is offering a deal that pays off during the February 2 game. If the game goes into overtime and you’re in a participating Hooters, you can get 6 free wings; any Dry Rub style with any Dipping Sauce. Who, I wonder, will be next to offer an overtime Wings deal?

Applebees giving away 1,000,000 Wings

Applebees restaurants are poised to give away one million free Boneless Wings during the Suoper Bowl Game, and they’ll be delivered right to your door. All you have to do is order (US)$40 or more worth of Game Day Food for delivery and Applebees will include 40 Boneless Wings absolutely free. One catch: You have to order using the Applebees app, and use the promo code FREEWINGS. Even so, that’s a pretty easy way to 40 free Wings!

McDonald’s sneaks-in new Soft Serve flavour

McD’s is offering a new Soft Serve flavour: Popcorn Caramel. It comes either by itself or swirled with regular Vanilla. But there’s a catch. It’s only available in Singapore. We want to know when it’s coming to North America!

And that’s the skinny…
