Wendy’s unveils expanded plans for Breakfast

Wendy’s has announced a new Breakfast Menu which will first début at selected locations across the land where some Breakfast fare has been available on a test basis for a few months, now, and expand to all U.S. Wendy’s outlets ‘sometime next year’. Among the new menu items: a Breakfast Baconator, a Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit and Frosty-ccino Coffee Beverages. The chain says it will be hiring about 20,000 new employees to implement the service expansion. We’ll give you the heads-up when the new menu is about to launch.

Sonic features Fair Faves menu

As part of the limited time menu, Deep-Fried OREOs are back, grouped with other Fair-like foods including Ched ‘R’ Peppers and Corn Dogs. The OREOs are billed as ‘À La Mode’ since they come with Soft Serve for dipping, while the Dogs and Peppers come with the usual Dipping Sauces.

Subway slides out new Slider selection

Subway, which has been busy rolling out new menu items lately, has unveiled a new Slider menu with four interesting sounding choices: Ham and Jack, Italian Spice, Little Cheesesteak and Little Turkey. You can choose your own Sauce and Cheese combo for each one. For a limited time only at participating Subway outlets.

Tim Horton’s introduces Fall ‘collection’

The Fall 2020 Pumpkin Spice and Maple collection includes three Beverages and three Pastries. The beverages include a Pumpkin Spiced Iced Capp, a Maple Iced Capp and a Maple TimmShake. The pastries include: Pumpkin Spiced Timbits, a Pumpkin Spiced glazed Doughnut and a Pumpkin Spiced Muffin filled with Cinnamon Roll Frosting. The Fall specialty items will début in early October and persist until at least U.S. Thanksgiving.

Kraft Heinz launches yet another new Ketchup

Not a new flavour, this time, or a blend of other condiments as we witnessed over the past year or so. This time, it’s a blend of Veggies puréed and mixed into regular Ketchup. It’s aimed at kids, who often get picky about eating their Veggies, as a means of discussing the ‘good stuff’ to get it into their diets in spite of their preferences. The Veggies in question are (at least to start) Carrots and Butternut Squash. The new product contains 25 percent Veggies, 25 percent less Sugar and zero high-Fructose Corn Syrup. It’s available now at selected retailers including Walmart and online at Amazon.com.

And that’s the skinny…

…On what’s going to me making some some of us fatter this fall. See you in seven for the next edition of Fast Food Week!
