McD’s definitely bringing International items to US
McDonald’s has finally confirmed rumours that it will add some International items to its US menu – for a limited time, only, of course. As reported here a couple of weeks back, McD’s will offer its Stroopwafel McFlurry from the Netherlands, a Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger from Spain, a Tomato Mozzarella Chicken Sandwich from Canada, and Cheesy Bacon Fries from Australia.The McFlurry and the Cheesy Bacon Fries were test-marketed previously in limited trials. They must have been popular!
Taco Bell offers new ‘Box’ deal
The Bell is offering a (US)$5 Grande Nachos Box special as of this past Thursday, for a limited time (probably ’til the same time next month). You get: Crispy Tortilla Chips topped with a double portion of either Seasoned Beef or Shredded Chicken, plus Refried Beans, Nacho Cheese Sauce, reduced fat Sour Cream, Guacamole, Three-Cheese blend, and Pico de Gallo. I guess they couldn’t think of anything else they already have on hand to add to the Box…
Wendy’s Spicy Chicken Nuggets back…
Wendy’s is bringing back their Spicy Chicken Nuggets as fast as they can after the menu item was references with longing in a social media post by Chance The Rapper. “Positive Affirmations for today: I WILL have a good day, I Will succeed today, Wendy’s WILL bring back spicy nuggets at some point please please Lord let it be today,” he tweeted May 4. Wendy’s must have noticed the post got more than 2.3 million ‘Likes’ in a day and a half. No firm date for the return of Spicy Nuggets has yet been announced.

Wendy’s – which last week announced a new Chocolate Chip Cookie Chunk Frosty for summer – is now adding a deal in which you can get a small Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty for just (US)$0.50. It’s usually (US)$1.00 at most locations. Of course, this deal lasts for an unspecified limited time only.
Pop Tarts hopping on New Flavour bandwagon
Pop Tarts – a favourite of kids and folks who get breakfast on-the-run since 1964 – are adding two new flavours for a limited time: Frosted Chocolate Cupcake is returning and Frosted Confetti Cupcake is making its premiere appearance. I guess I’d fallen out of touch with Pop Tarts. The Toaster Pastry that started it all has been produced in dozens of flavours over the past 55 years, and Kellogg’s still sells millions of them each year. Like anything that becomes a cultural fixture, you just come to take it for granted after a while…
