Taco Bell unveils the ‘Triplelupa’…

Yup, it’s a triple Chalupa, as you may have already guessed. The novel part is, the Taco-shaped fold-overs come linked like cars on a train. You get to pull them apart for sharing. All three Chalupas come with Beef, a Three-Cheese blend, Lettuce, and Tomatoes, but each is topped woith a different Sauce: either Chipotle Sauce, Nacho Cheese Sauce or – for the middle one – both. As is usual; with all new menu offerings at Fast Food joints these days, the Triplelupa is only available now through December 12. Too bad.

…Brings back Rolled Chicken Tacos

Those novel-looking Rolled Chicken Tacos are back at Taco Bell until ‘late December’. They remind me more of really long pizza rolls than  Tacos, but that’s just me. You can get 2 plus 1 Dip for (US)$1.99 or 4 with 2 Dips for (US)$3.99. You can choose from three Dips: Spicy Ranch, warm Nacho Cheese Sauce, or Guacamole.

Arby’s tests Beer Can Chicken

Not a whole chicken, and not really cooked on a grill with a can of beer rooted up its rear, but interesting nonetheless. The Chicken is marinated in  Miller High Life Beer before roasting then sliced thick and served on a special ‘star-cut’ bun. Toppings include: Garlic Aioli, Cheddar cheese, Pepper Bacon, Crispy Onion Strings, Lettuce, and Tomato. Alas, it’s a very limited-scope test, apparently only in Minnesota.

Dunkins launches new Espresso line

Dunkins has clearly set itself a major challenge, to “become the destination for the best Lattes, Cappuccinos, Americanos, Macchiatos and more.” And its upgraded Espresso system is getting a real workout, anchoring a series of specials. The latest, starting Monday, offers a $2 medium Latte or Cappuccino from 2 p.m. through 6 p.m., through December 30.

OREOs offers something special for the Holidays

It’s an OREOs Music Box!  The mini Music Box plays a variety of cookie-themes songs when you place an OREO on its top. It comes in a large, metal ‘cookie tin’ along with single-serving packs of OREO Thins, regular OREOs and White Fudge OREOs. It’s (US)$19.95 at Amazon, while supplies last.

Order now t0o ensure delivery by Christmas. Come to think of it, almost all your Fave Fast Food brands are offering new stuff for the holidays at their respective online stores…

And that’s the skinny…
