Every Holiday Season, dozens – maybe hundreds – of homeowners are burned out of their homes on Christmas Day by Deep-Fried Turkeys gone rogue. But Arby’s is taking the risk out of Deep-Fried Turkey with its new DFT Sandwiches available now through December 23. They come in three styles: Deep Fried Turkey BLT, The Gobbler and Cajun Deep Fried Turkey.
…takes mountainous Sandwich U.S.-wide
The guys who proudly say they’ve ‘got the meats’ are offering a mountain of their signature Roast Beef on a Sandwich creation they call the ‘Arbynator’. Apparently, this behemoth was such a hit during test marketing last year that they’ve decided to bring it back as part of their roster of rotating limited-time specials. If you missed it the first time around, the Arbynator comes in three sizes; Classic, Double and Half-Pound. Each is topped with Curly Fries, Cheddar Sauce, Arby’s Sauce, and Horsey Sauce. Get it now through December 23.
Jimmy Dean’s Sausage-scented Wrapping Paper!
The King of Sausages – especially in the U.S. south, is breaking out of his usual conservative image mould, offering a collection of Sausage-scented Wrapping Papers for Christmas. But there’s a catch: You have to enter and win a Recipe Gift Exchange contest to get them. (Details on the contest website.) Winners will be able to choose the Paper, or a number of other ‘prizes, including a glass sausage Christmas tree ornament, a holiday apron or Jimmy’s own Christmas Album. One Grand Prize will be awarded: a (US)$10k Diamond-studded Belt Buckle.

‘Slime’ is newest Edible Toy from Jello
Edible Slime joins the growing family of Edible Toys from Jello just in time for the Holidays. From the pictures, it looks like a squooshy, stretchy, droopy-gloopy concoction that doesn’t stick to your fingers. (That’s a blessing for parents!) It comes in two flavours: Strawberry and Lime. Or, if you’re a Slime aficionado, ‘Unicorn’ and ‘Monster’. Look for it in the Jello section at the supermarket.
McDonald’s hinting it will bring back Bacon Cheese Fries
McDonald’s has been selling Bacon Cheese Fries in foreign markets like Mexico and China for some time, now, and a U.S. test last year (very limited) must have been a success, because an even large test is under way until the end of the year in Northern Nevada, Northern California and Hawaii. Maybe, if those tests go well, they’ll bring enough for everyone next time.
Burger King now King of Pancakes – for a limited time
The amazing (US)$0.89 Pancake deal is back at BK, at participating locations, for a limited time. You get three pancakes with Syrup making it a really good deal. It’s available during the breakfast run, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.
